Safety Coordinator (Field Safety Coordinator)

About the role

Scout Discoveries is an agile, growing mineral exploration company based in Coeur d'Alene, Idaho. Scout is vertically integrated by design which keeps discovery costs down and lets the company explore more often, learn faster, and keep the economics in its own hands.

Just as deliberately, Scout takes great care of its people. The company is optimizing how its team works as it grows, and building a culture of entrepreneurship, learning, and looking out for one another, made up of people who believe in the mission and in this industry. In Idaho, Scout is the largest holder of unpatented claims and one of the state's most active explorers, across three Tier One mining districts with projects in gold, silver, and copper.

We drill. We discover. We do it again, until discovery stops being luck.

A safety program is only as good as its follow-through: the records kept, the corrective actions tracked to closure, and the documentation that proves compliance when the regulator asks.

This role is that follow-through — safety program administration, incident logs, regulatory reporting, and hands-on support for field inspections and pre-shift meetings.

The Safety Coordinator leads through coaching, auditing, and accountability, not by policing the workforce. Most of the job happens in the field: visiting drill sites, yards, and shops, and building the kind of relationships that make crews want to work safely.
