About the role
Scout Discoveries is an agile, growing mineral exploration company based in Coeur d'Alene, Idaho. Scout is vertically integrated by design — drilling, geoscience, and an internal lab under one roof — which keeps discovery costs down and lets us explore more often, learn faster, and keep the economics in our own hands.
Just as deliberately, Scout takes great care of its people. We are building a culture of entrepreneurship, learning, accountability, and looking out for one another while pursuing gold, silver, and copper discoveries across the western United States. Scout is the largest holder of unpatented mining claims in Idaho.
Discovery starts with trustworthy field data. The soil sample, the stream-sediment sample, the claim monument, the drill-site record, the core box — each one becomes part of the geological record that guides Scout's next decision. Small mistakes travel upstream; careful work compounds.
The Exploration Geotechnician collects and protects that record. This role supports soil and stream-sediment sampling campaigns, claim staking, exploration drill programs, and core and sample processing. The work moves between remote field programs across the western United States and Scout's Coeur d'Alene operations. It calls for physical stamina, punctuality, disciplined documentation, and the flexibility to travel where the program needs support.
We drill. We discover. We do it again, until discovery stops being luck.
