About the role

Scout Discoveries is a vertically integrated exploration and drilling company based in Coeur d'Alene, Idaho — drilling and geoscience in house, an internal lab being built to close the loop — that takes deliberate care of its people while it pursues Tier One discoveries across the state. Scout is the largest holder of unpatented claims in Idaho, working gold, silver, and copper, and building a culture of entrepreneurship, learning, and looking out for one another.

A drill program in the backcountry only runs as fast as the road behind it. Parts, fuel, and consumables have to reach the rig before the rig runs out; crews have to make their flights on crew-change day; and when a bit or a pump fails, the meters stop until the replacement arrives.

This role is the road behind the rig for Scout Drilling. The Expeditor safely and on time moves parts and supplies to and from remote drill sites, gets crews to and from the nearest airport on fly-in, fly-out days, pulls and backs a trailer with confidence on gravel and drill pads, and helps around the drill when the crew needs a hand. The work is mostly on the road and on site, shoulder to shoulder with foremen, drillers, helpers, and the shop.

We drill. We discover. We do it again, until discovery stops being luck.
